The Trinity Relay For Life Team is continuing to raise funds for the American Cancer Society with the following fundraisers:
Luminaria – The TUMC team is selling luminaria to honor those who have won or lost their battle with cancer and in support of caretakers. The cost per luminaria is $10. The luminaria will be set up at the Bowling Green High School track the night of Relay. They will be lit, and the name of the person honored will be read during the Luminaria Ceremony at 9:30 p.m. Our team receives full fundraising credit if our team name is noted on the order form. Forms are available in the lobby of the east entrance of the church.
Pie! – Our team will be selling pie by the slice at Relay. The cost is $3 per slice. Stop by our campsite #50, visit our team, and enjoy a slice or two. If you would like to donate a pie for us to sell, please contact Bev, Joanie or Gretchen and let us know.
Quilt: Ruth Ann Kramer has kindly donated a beautiful purple and green quilt featuring panels with “What Cancer Cannot Do: - Shatter Hope, Kill Friendship, Destroy Peace, Corrode Faith” etc. If you would like to make a donation to the team, we will enter your name into a drawing for the quilt. We can accept cash, checks made out to the American Cancer Society, and Bev has a fundraising app on her phone for credit card donations. The drawing will be held at the Relay.

When you select the Donate button, another box opens up. Select “Donate to a team”. The list of teams will open up. Scroll down to Trinity UMC and select the “Donate” button.
The Relay time has changed this year. The Opening Ceremony is at 11:00am on Saturday, May 21st and the event runs until 11:00pm. Highlights include a Survivor/Caregiver Reception at 1:00pm, a Basket Auction at 12:30pm (Led by TV 11 Anchorman, Jerry Anderson), a Silent Auction until 6:00pm, and a Live Auction at 7:00pm. In addition to the Relay, there will be a car show in the high school parking lot to benefit the Relay.
Mark your calendar today to attend the Relay For Life of Southern Wood County. This is a community event and everyone is invited to attend.
